Nissan Juke

Nissan is preparing a 100% electric Juke with a radical design, ready to reinvent one of its most iconic models by 2026.

Launched in 2010, the Nissan Juke immediately shook up the norms of the small SUV segment. With its quirky style, bold lines, and distinctly atypical positioning, it established itself as one of the most recognizable models on the market. A more subdued second generation followed in 2019, but without denying its identity. In 2026, Nissan is set to write an even bolder third chapter: that of the very first 100% electric Juke.

This new Juke EV will strengthen the automaker’s electrification strategy, alongside the new Leaf and Micra models. But above all, it will play a key role in the range, demonstrating the symbolic and commercial weight of the Juke in Europe. Nissan now considers it one of the pillars of its future, alongside icons like the Patrol and the Nismo universe.

Well Positioned Between Micra and Leaf

Under its completely redesigned lines, the Juke EV will share its technical base with the new Leaf. It will rest on the CMF-EV platform and benefit from the same electric drivetrains and batteries produced in the UK, in 52 and 75 kWh versions. Their efficiency has already been proven on the Leaf, although the Juke’s range is expected to be slightly lower. Its more muscular proportions, imposing wheels, and less aerodynamic styling will influence consumption. Nonetheless, Nissan aims for a range that is sufficiently adequate for daily use and competitive against future electric B-SUVs.

It is in the realm of design that the new Juke intends to truly stand out. True to its anti-conformist DNA, it will embrace a radical look inspired by the Hyper Punk concept unveiled in 2023. The future model will adopt a lower and wider stance, with angular volumes and a body made of polygonal surfaces. Aesthetic choices will take precedence over optimizing interior space, a deliberate choice to make the Juke one of the most expressive models in its category.
