Ferrari SC40: A Divine Tribute to the F40
Maranello continues its custom tradition with the Ferrari SC40, a new creation from the Special Projects program.
This unique Ferrari is the result of an exclusive commission from a passionate client. Based on the 296 GTB, this mid-engine plug-in hybrid V6 berlinetta embodies the pinnacle of customization: a one-of-a-kind model, designed and crafted according to its owner’s wishes, yet faithful to the spirit of the Prancing Horse. It also adds a nod to the brand’s glorious past.

Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre led by Flavio Manzoni, the SC40 draws inspiration from the legendary 1987 F40, claiming its aggressiveness and geometric purity while modernizing its volumes and lines. A long, sloping hood, compact rear, raised fixed rear wing, and wide air vents compose a silhouette both muscular and refined. The specially developed SC40 White color subtly reflects the nuances of the carbon fiber and Kevlar used inside.
Something new with the old
Beneath this sculpted body, the SC40 carries the drivetrain of the 296 GTB, a 830-hp biturbo hybrid V6, capable of reaching 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and topping over 330 km/h. A noble engine paired with a lightweight architecture (1,550 kg) and optimized front/rear weight distribution.

The interior itself pays homage to the F40 through the use of raw Kevlar. This iconic material covers the floors, sills, steering wheel, and some engine compartment parts. The combination of Alcantara and red Jacquard technical fabric for the bucket seats enhances the car’s exclusive and artisanal character and its connection to its glorious predecessor.
