The Yangwang U9 Xtreme was unveiled in September 2025 at the BYD circuit in Zhengzhou. Designed to push the limits of electric performance, it is based on the standard U9 but features spectacular upgrades for the track: enhanced cooling (+133% thermal efficiency), carbon-ceramic brakes on titanium alloy supports, and semi-slick GitiSport e·Gtr2 Pro tires. Its Blade battery and e4 all-wheel drive, combined with Yunnian-X active body control technology, provide an extreme driving experience.
Under the hood, the U9X is a power monster: four electric motors of 555 kW each, totaling 2,220 kW (almost 3,000 horsepower), with a power-to-weight ratio of 1,217 horsepower per ton. As a result, the prototype reached 496 km/h and completed the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:59.157, a record for a production electric vehicle.
