Discover the First Electric Jeep Vehicles

The Jeep Avenger, available in a 100% electric version, marks the eco-friendly shift of the American specialist, who will introduce no fewer than 4 connected models by 2025.

Avenger, or “avenger” in proper French, is the name of Jeep’s new model, tasked with revolutionizing the DNA of the renowned manufacturer based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Now owned by the Stellantis Group, Jeep must comply with new environmental standards, particularly for the European market.

The Jeep Avenger, the brand’s first electric in Europe

In terms of aesthetics, it is unmistakably a Jeep. While the refined and stylized grille signals a certain shift, the profile and rear are heavily inspired by the existing Jeep Compass and Renegade models.

This model is based on the CMP technical platform, shared notably with the DS 3 Crossback, Opel Mokka-e, and Peugeot e-2008. However, the new Jeep Avenger will feature an optimized battery compared to its European cousins. According to Jeep, range is estimated at 400 km according to WLTP standards.

Another advantage of the Jeep is that it will offer the possibility of a 4×4 transmission thanks to the presence of a second electric motor on the rear axle. This allows for off-road capabilities, especially as its ground clearance is said to be higher than that of the Jeep Renegade 4xe, far from being a poor performer off the beaten path.

Note that a thermal version will also be offered, featuring the well-known 1.2 Puretech three-cylinder engine.

The order books will open at the Paris Motor Show from October 17, 2022, with sales starting in early 2023.

Jeep Wagoneer S

Future competitor to a Range Rover Velar, the Jeep Wagoneer S is a prototype of a large SUV with a very modern style and an interior inspired by the Grand Cherokee. Presented alongside the Jeep Avenger, it will not feature V6 or V8 engines. Instead, it will have an all-electric propulsion system that could flirt with 600 hp! Enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. But what is especially impressive is the estimated range of 647 km. Expected in Europe during 2024.

The Jeep Recon, the electric Wrangler

Some see it as the anti-Ford Bronco, but it is indeed a descendant of the Jeep Wrangler in an electric version. The Jeep Recon will be launched in Europe in 2024. It features a rugged look with true off-road capabilities: electric axle lock, underbody protections, off-road tires, and tow hooks. One unknown remains: the specifics of its motor and battery.

Note that a fourth electric model will be introduced later, arriving on our roads by 2025.
