BMW expands its electric lineup with the new iX1 and i4 eDrive35
This page is translated from the original post "BMW renforce sa gamme électrique avec le nouvel iX1 et l’i4 eDrive35" in French.

These two electric BMWs are eligible for the national bonus of €2,000, granted for the purchase of an electric car priced between €47,000 and €60,000.
Presented several months ago, the BMW iX1 is now available for order. Its launch coincides with a new base version of the i4.
Almost identical to other X1 models visually, the iX1 expands the list of competitors for the Tesla Model Y. With an entry price of €55,460, it is however more expensive than the American electric SUV, which starts at €49,990.
The choice of trim level does not affect performance, as all versions of the iX1 are equipped with a 66.4 kWh battery and two electric motors delivering a combined 313 hp. The WLTP-range reaches 438 km… in the optimal configuration. With larger diameter wheels, it can drop to 394 km.
In terms of performance, BMW announces 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h.
A new entry-level for the BMW i4
Already on sale for several months, the BMW i4 is now available in a new entry-level eDrive35 version. Less powerful than the other models (286 hp vs 340 hp in the core range), it also has reduced range due to a smaller capacity battery (68 kWh vs 80.7 kWh for the other i4). BMW states a range of up to 483 km in WLTP mixed cycle, compared to 589 km measured for the i4 eDrive40. The maximum charging power on DC current drops from 205 kW to 180 kW. On AC current, this new version charges at 11 kW, like the rest of the range.
The new BMW Series 4 eDrive35 is priced at €53,550 without options, approximately €8,000 less than the eDrive40 version.
