Lotus Evija: A Special Edition for Fittipaldi’s 50th Anniversary
This page is translated from the original post "Lotus Evija : une série spéciale pour les 50 ans du titre de Fittipaldi" in French.

The Evija is the model of renewal for Lotus, which is now part of the Chinese group Geely. Reserved for a select few, this electric supercar becomes even more exclusive in this new Fittipaldi version, which will be limited to 8 units.
This special series was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lotus’s world championship title and its driver Emerson Fittipaldi in Formula 1. It is the work of Lotus Advanced Performance, the department specializing in customization and the creation of special editions at Lotus.
A Lotus Evija with recycled Formula 1 aluminum
In the colors of black and gold characteristic of Lotus racing cars, the Evija Fittipaldi features a central console button made from recycled Type 72 F1 aluminum. A Fittipaldi signature on the dashboard, a gold-colored pedal set, and a racing steering wheel embroidery on the headliner are also among its features.

The Lotus Evija is powered by an electric motor producing 2,039 hp and 1,704 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds and can reach a top speed of 350 km/h. The 93 kWh battery guarantees a theoretical range of 402 km (WLTP mixed cycle). It can be recharged in 18 minutes on a station capable of delivering 350 kW.
Weighing nearly 1,900 kilograms, the Evija forgets the asceticism of its predecessor Lotus models. This is hardly surprising given the battery capacity. For comparison, a Rimac Nevera weighs 2,150 kilos with a 120 kWh battery.
All 8 units of the Evija Fittipaldi have been sold. Emerson Fittipaldi was invited to test the car on Lotus’s test track. Former F1 driver Jenson Button also had the opportunity to do so. Both men also took the wheel of the victorious Type 72 in championship racing.
