Jeep Avenger: First Public Appearance & 400 km Range

Jeep chose the Paris Motor Show to unveil the first electric model in its history: the Avenger.

To develop this vehicle, Jeep benefited from the experience of the Stellantis group in electric cars. With its 54 kWh (gross capacity) battery, the new Avenger offers a theoretical range of 400 km (WLTP mixed cycle), which could even reach 550 km in urban cycle. The 400-volt motor is a joint venture between Stellantis and Nidec Leroy-Somer Holding. It delivers 115 kW (156 hp) and 260 Nm of torque.

A Jeep capable of venturing off the beaten path

Designed for urban customers, this 4.08-meter-long vehicle does not have all-wheel drive. However, Jeep emphasizes the off-road capabilities of the new model. “The new Avenger is equipped with Selec-Terrain and Hill Descent Control as standard, which, along with its exceptional approach and departure angles and high ground clearance, offers impressive capabilities in its segment,” the brand states.

The dashboard features a 10.25-inch central touchscreen. The instrument cluster uses a second screen, either 7 or 10.25 inches depending on the trim level. The rear trunk capacity reaches 380 liters. Note that the Avenger also features a front trunk (or frunk) of 34 liters.

The Jeep Avenger is equipped with an 11 kW onboard charger, allowing it to charge from 0 to 100% in 5.5 hours. With a fast charger, the vehicle can accommodate up to 100 kW of current, enabling a 20 to 80% charge in 24 minutes.

The Jeep Avenger will be produced in Poland, at the Tychy plant. Pricing details have not yet been announced. The first units will arrive at dealerships early next year. In the meantime, Jeep is already accepting pre-orders for the launch version, the 1st Edition, available from €249/month.
