Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition: Here is the Price!

Just one month after unveiling the new Ioniq 6, Hyundai now reveals the pricing and features of the First Edition trim.

The new Hyundai Ioniq 6 is undoubtedly a model that will make history in the electric world. Starting with its aesthetic ambitions. As we previously pointed out, its five-door coupe lines are reminiscent of a certain Porsche Taycan. We’ve known less flattering comparisons! At 4.86 meters long and 1.88 meters wide, the Korean model sits mid-way between a Tesla Model Y (4.75 m) and a Porsche Taycan (4.96 m).

A Captivating Interior

The interior has also been given special attention, with an ambiance that is both warm and tech-inspired, and the build quality is up to standard. Moreover, this Hyundai Ioniq 6 maintains ample interior space, despite its lower roofline compared to its sibling Hyundai Ioniq 5. At the rear, passengers enjoy generous legroom, and the absence of a center tunnel allows a fifth passenger to sit comfortably. The only significant compromise due to its unique design is the trunk, which is less practical for loading. Finally, the choice of materials was driven by a desire to better respect the environment, with recycled water bottles used to trim the roof lining, and carpets made from fishing net nylon or eco-friendly tanned leather…

Electric Options

Technically, the new Ioniq 6 offers different technical solutions: a rear-wheel drive version and a all-wheel-drive version called H-Trac. It is also available in three power levels: 150 hp (rear-wheel drive), 229 hp (rear-wheel drive), 325 hp (all-wheel drive).

According to Hyundai, the Ioniq 6 can travel up to 614 km (WLTP) on its long-range battery version (77.4 kWh), provided the 18-inch wheels are chosen. The base version, with the smaller 53 kWh battery, has an autonomy of 429 km (WLTP).

Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition

While the range lineup is expanding, Hyundai offers a Ioniq 6 called First Edition limited to 250 units equipped with the 325 hp engine and HTRAC all-wheel drive. The gross battery capacity is set at 77 kWh (combined consumption of 16.9 kWh/100 km according to Hyundai).

Available in four colors, this high-end version does not offer any interior finish options, with a leather/tweed upholstery with a tartan motif and customized floor mats.

Externally, it features 20-inch matte black wheels, aluminum logos, specific bumpers, as well as a black lacquered lower body and exterior mirrors.

Standard equipment on this model includes: 12.3″ digital gauges, wireless charging, Europe GPS with 12.3″ touchscreen, Bose Premium audio system, head-up display, Level 2 autonomous driving, 360° camera, hands-free trunk opening, alarm… But also a subscription to the charging network Ionity Premium for one year, with charging at a fixed rate of 0.29 €/kWh.

The price is set at €62,500 and does not qualify for ecological bonuses. The only included accessory is the Type 2 charging cable sold for €509.
