Comfortable Power for the Renault Kangoo Electric
The ludospace is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 45 kWh. It is therefore smaller than on the Renault ZOE, but larger than the entry-level Megane. According to Renault, it offers a range of up to 285 km in WLTP cycle or 430 km in urban cycle. Its electric motor develops a respectable 120 hp and provides 245 Nm of torque.
The new Renault Kangoo E-Tech Electric also features three regenerative braking modes:
- Sailing: limited regenerative mode, suitable for highway and fast lane driving;
- Drive: default regenerative mode for versatile use;
- Brake: maximum regenerative mode for traffic jams and downhill driving.

Three Types of Charging
Depending on the version, there are also three charging options available:
- AC charger up to 11 kW three-phase ;
- Fast charger of 22 kW AC allowing to go from 5% to 80% in 2.5 hours ;
- Quick charging up to 80 kW DC (continuous current), theoretically recovering 170 km of range (WLTP cycle) in 30 minutes.
The prices for the electric Kangoo start at €37,500, and include a €6,000 bonus until December 31, 2022. This makes it very close to the Peugeot E-Rifter, which starts at €37,850.
Version | Prices |
Equilibre EV45 11 kW | €37,500 |
Equilibre EV45 DC 80 kW | €38,900 |
Techno EV45 11 kW | €40,800 |
Techno EV45 DC 80 kW | €42,200 |
The standard equipment is quite comprehensive from the base Equilibre trim level and already includes the fast charging capability at 80 kW.

Finally, upon launch, a long-term rental offer is available. It spans 37 months and a maximum of 30,000 km. The monthly rent is set at €320, with an initial payment of €4,000 after deducting the €6,000 bonus. Renault also offers 3 years of warranty, 24/7 roadside assistance, and maintenance included for €1/month.
