The future Aehra electric SUV unveils an astonishing interior

Aehra Automobiles knows how to keep the suspense. After unveiling the exterior of its future SUV and some technical solutions, the Italian startup is now revealing its interior.

The Italian company Aehra is eager to attract attention with its future, provocative all-electric SUV. While some see Lamborghini inspiration in its design, it’s clear that the drawing is quite bold for a model mounted on 23-inch wheels.

Wide wheels, reflecting the size of the vehicle, which measures 5.10 meters long and 2 meters wide, might not be very maneuverable in the narrow streets of Montmartre (Paris). However, another detail draws attention: its 3-meter wheelbase, hinting at record-breaking interior space.

In fact, Aehra wants to communicate about its interior by presenting early renderings of the cabin.

“Much of what we’ve learned from the aerospace industry has shaped the design of the AEHRA SUV’s body and its advanced aerodynamic efficiency, and this influence extends to the cabin as well,” explains Hazim Nada, co-founder and CEO of Aehra. “The monocoque exterior architecture allows us to create a unique dashboard that positions the touchscreen interface in a way that traditional layouts can’t achieve. The result is a true workspace or lounge experience for front-seat passengers, with a setup similar to what people are used to working or relaxing at home.”

A True Automotive Cinema

The main feature of the Aehra Automobiles SUV interior is its HMI screen (human-machine interface), which spans the entire width of the dashboard. When the SUV is in driving mode, the screen is positioned lower to display all essential information (speed, range, climate control settings, navigation instructions…). The exterior mirrors are replaced by high-definition cameras. The showstopper is when the screen lifts upward, transforming the interior into a true home theater, with sound quality worthy of a concert hall! However, this mode only works when the vehicle is stopped!

Among the other refined features of the Aehra SUV, there is the option to choose a four- or five-seat interior, with seats upholstered in hand-stitched Italian leather. It also features a multifunction steering wheel inspired by the aerospace industry and the ability to customize the interior according to your preferences (home theater, meeting room, lounge…).

In Aehra’s schedule, a sedan will be unveiled in April 2023, and deliveries of the SUV are expected to begin around 2025-2026 in Europe, North America, China, and the Gulf region.
