Electric Motorcycle: Verge Arrives in France with a 200 hp TS

Verge is well planning to enter the French market. Its new TS Ultra, which has just been unveiled, will cost over €50,000 here.

The Verge TS has a quite surprising name, but the most interesting feature of this motorcycle is its hubless rear wheel, which gives it an incredible look. Designed in Finland, this model will be marketed here, as a French website was recently launched. In addition to providing the bike’s pricing and final specifications, it also allows anyone to customize their own version.

Powered by a powerful motor integrated directly into the rear wheel, Verge’s electric motorcycle promises a lot on paper. The technical sheet is impressive: up to 150 kW (204 hp) and 1,200 Nm of torque at the wheel for the TS Ultra, which was just unveiled at CES in Las Vegas. It could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 km/h. Regarding range, its 20.6 kWh battery would allow it to travel up to 375 km on a charge. When charged at an appropriate station, it would recharge in only 25 minutes. Alongside the TS Ultra, Verge also offers two more modest versions, the TS Pro and the basic TS. These less powerful models offer fewer kilometers of range and slightly slower recharging times.

Priced at over €30,000, the TS and TS Pro are already reserved for an affluent clientele. But they seem almost affordable compared to the TS Ultra, sold for nearly €55,000 without options! Deliveries are expected to gradually begin this year. According to Verge, they will start in May for the Pro, in September for the basic TS, and in the fourth quarter for the TS Ultra.
