With a new 54 kWh battery, the Astra-e (or maybe Astra Electric like the Mokka) promises up to 416 km of range per charge. However, the charging power remains at 100 kW, as with all Stellantis vehicles, meaning about 30 minutes to go from 10% to 80%. The Opel Astra electric will be available for order in spring 2023, likely starting above €40,000, in sedan and Sports Tourer station wagon versions.
Opel strengthens its plug-in hybrid lineup
Opel also took the opportunity at the Brussels Motor Show 2023 to present another variant of the compact. The Opel Astra GSe will lead the plug-in hybrid range with a dual-motor setup producing 225 horsepower, in both sedan and Sports Tourer station wagon versions.
The Opel Grandland GSe SUV is also part of the Belgian lineup. However, this model features a 300-horsepower petrol-electric duo already seen on the Peugeot 3008 or the DS7 E-Tense.
