Which version of the Dacia Spring 2023 to choose?

Available since 2021, the Dacia Spring is evolving this year. Style, prices, charging—here are Mobiwisy’s tips for choosing the best version.

It’s clear that upon its launch in the first quarter of 2021, the compact city car Dacia Spring really caused a buzz. At that time, its price was set at €16,990 for the Confort model and €18,490 for the Confort Plus model. Eligible for a green bonus, it could then be purchased for less than €14,000 with aid. An unbeatable price, explained by the manufacturing in China of this future best-seller EV (18,326 units were ordered in France in 2022).

In less than two years, the Dacia Spring has significantly evolved with a redesigned look that adopts Dacia’s new visual signature. As we write these lines, the small electric vehicle is now sold from €20,800 (€15,800 after bonus deduction) with its new Essential finish and €22,100 (€17,100 after bonus deduction) in Expression finish. At the time of choosing, our preference leans towards the more upscale Expression version. Not that GPS or the backup camera are essential, but it is the only one capable of accepting the fast charging 30 kW as an option (€600 nevertheless) — 56 minutes to charge from 0 to 80%.

For standard charging, it is also necessary to invest €250 in both versions to fill up on a Wallbox at 6.6 kW — 13h32 on a regular socket (2.3 kW), 8h28 on a reinforced Green’up socket (3.7 kW), 4h51 on a Wallbox or public charging station.
