Leo & Go: Short-term Tesla Model 3 rentals in Lyon

An offer that could, for example, interest those who want to try an electric car before considering a purchase.

Leo & Go specializes in free-floating car rentals. This subsidiary of the Nice-based company Vulog has been operating in Lyon since 2019. It has deployed Toyota Yaris and Peugeot e-208, which can be easily reserved via an app.

Recently, a new vehicle was added to the operator’s service: the Tesla Model 3. The version of the cars made available is not explicitly mentioned, but given Leo & Go’s promised range (490 km), it can be inferred that it is the basic Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive, which already offers good performance.

Unlike other Leo & Go cars, which are not tied to a specific location, the Tesla Model 3s are to be picked up at the station, at the Westfield La Part-Dieu parking lot. Reservation is still done via the mobile app.

Tesla Model 3 rental: the cheapest plan at €69

The Leo & Go Tesla Model 3s can only be rented by people over 30 years old. The cheapest plan lasts 4 hours, includes 150 km, and costs €69. For a full day, still with 150 km included, it costs €99. A week of rental with 1,050 km included is billed at €699.

Additional charges for exceeding mileage and/or duration are, of course, applicable: €0.40 per km, €0.40 per minute, and €20 per hour. “The most favorable rate is automatically applied”, specifies Leo & Go, which provides the example below:

Charging cable and chains are provided automatically to customers. Regarding the deductible, Leo & Go offers a choice between two options: a standard €2,500 deductible, and a reduced deductible of €1,000, which incurs an additional €29 per day.
