ZFE Strasbourg: The metropolitan area increases support

Following this decision, residents of the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg will be able to receive up to €4,000 for the purchase of a vehicle.

The Eurometropolis of Strasbourg will increase the financial aid included in the ZFE-m scheme. A decision made “due to the increasingly constrained social and economic context, and to best support individuals in their mobility transition”.

Regardless of their income level, future beneficiaries of the mobility account or the aid for purchasing a less polluting vehicle will receive an additional €500. The increase will take effect from April 1, 2023. Applicants will need to send their application from this date onward to benefit from it.

Following this change, the aid for purchasing a less polluting vehicle can now reach €4,000. Please note, this is a conversion aid. To receive it, a polluting vehicle (from no Crit’Air to Crit’Air 2) must be scrapped. The amount of aid varies depending on income level. Above €20,966 in fiscal income per share, the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg does not provide any assistance.

Regarding the mobility account, the maximum amount will increase to €2,500 after the €500 raise. As with the other aid, eligibility is based on income and is reserved for those who scrap a polluting car. The allocated sum must be spent on alternative transports (public transit, bicycle, or scooter).
