RGNT record

Although it has never really positioned itself in the sports motorcycle segment, the Swedish RGNT will attempt to set a new speed record.

Setting a new ice speed record with an electric motorcycle: this is RGNT’s new goal, a small Swedish manufacturer known for its vintage-looking electric models. The attempt will take place on the weekend of February 24 and 25, on the frozen Arsunda Lake in Sweden.

As part of this project, codenamed “Aurora”, RGNT has created a special motorcycle based on one of its models, the NO.1 Classic SE. Certified in the 125 cc category, this model is not particularly renowned for its performance, although it demonstrates a good liveliness for its class. The engineers involved in the project had to make several modifications to give Aurora a chance of success. By adjusting certain settings, they increased peak power from 21 to 30 kW. RGNT’s teams also fitted a more aerodynamic new fairing and equipped the wheels with studded tires.

A Series RGNT on the ice too

Timmy Eriksson, an engineer at the company, will be responsible for riding the motorcycle as fast as possible. Simultaneously, RGNT will also run an original NO.1 Scrambler SE, aiming to establish additional records for a series electric motorcycle.

If successful, RGNT will celebrate at the two-wheeler show in Lyon, which will be held from February 23 to 26. The Swedish brand will have a booth there, displaying its NO.1 SE Classic and SE Scrambler.
