Electric motorcycle: RGNT sets a speed record on ice

RGNT went to a frozen lake last weekend, aiming to set a new speed record. The Swedish manufacturer just announced that their attempt was successful.

Årsunda, Sweden: this is where RGNT’s record attempt took place during the SMA Svenska Motorsport Alliansen. The Swedish manufacturer, specialized in producing vintage-look electric vehicles, set out to have the fastest motorcycle on ice in the world. Derived from a production model, the NO.1 Classic SE created specifically for this challenge was entrusted to Timmy Eriksson, an engineer from the brand. The team met expectations perfectly. With a top speed precisely recorded at 155.14 km/h, Timmy Eriksson and his RGNT achieved the coveted record.

RGNT Ends the Weekend with 3 Records

Additionally, RGNT proudly announces two more records on ice: the fastest electric 125cc motorcycle and the fastest serial electric motorcycle, with recorded speeds of 135.04 km/h and 114.3 km/h respectively. While this can be seen as a real achievement, it should be tempered. The records are marginal and primarily symbolic. However, they demonstrate the potential of the brand’s motorcycles, which deliver good performance for 125 cc equivalents.

The stock version of the NO.1 Classic SE used as the basis can reach a maximum speed of 120 km/h. Powered by a 21 kW wheel motor (peak power, 9 kW nominal), it features a 9.5 kWh battery, offering a theoretical range of about 150 km.
