Citroën: Discounts on train travel when purchasing an electric car

From May 15 to June 30, Citroën offers discounts on train tickets through its Citroën Citizen Services® program for 4 years.

A program called Citroën Citizen Services® allows any private vehicle buyer from the brand with the chevron logo to benefit from reduced-price trains. Therefore, every year for four years, you will receive a subscription card (worth 49 euros) granting you a 30% discount for you and your companions.

Note, this offer is only valid on the following vehicles: ë C4, ë C4 X, or ë Berlingo. Citroën thus offers its buyers the chance to travel by combining an electric vehicle with a decarbonized means of transportation (the train).

Through their advertising campaign, the chevron brand might attract new buyers for its electric vehicles!

A Good Deal for Citroën Customers?

At first glance, the Citroën offer seems to be a boon for your wallet. An Advantage card for SNCF trains with a 30% discount on your trips for you and your companions—what more could you ask for?

Citroën justifies its train and electric car combo offer with three different scenarios: celebration, family, and travel. An original idea to fully share moments with loved ones and friends!

Looking more closely at this offer, only vehicles ë C4, ë C4 X, or ë Berlingo are eligible. The automaker’s website states that this offer will not benefit everyone equally. Eligible vehicles tend to be higher-end models. According to the manufacturer, these range in price from €41,900 (ë C4 X Feel) to €44,600 (ë C4 Shine).

For some, an SNCF subscription at €49 per year might suffice… or consider buying an electric assisted bicycle instead!

All in all, Citroën is making a great move for its customers. We hope to see more initiatives like this in the future.
