Supercharger

For a little over a week now, Tesla users and non-users alike have been able to use the new V4 superchargers to charge their electric vehicles.

This is the first charging point in France to feature the new V4 supercharger stations Tesla. It is located in Puy-de-Dôme, specifically at the Riom station. This new station is accessible to all electric vehicles compatible with CCS, allowing ultra-fast charging with the new chargers.

Features of these new stations

The number of available charging spots is limited to 12, enabling charging for Tesla vehicles as well as other electric vehicles. The stations are operational 24/7 with a power output of 250 kW. As a reminder, only CCS-compatible vehicles can use Tesla’s V4 supercharger stations.

As mentioned earlier, the charging cable is much longer than the previous generation, allowing more vehicles to charge simultaneously. Prices have not increased; for subscribers, expect to pay 33 cents per kWh during off-peak hours and 37 cents during peak hours. For non-subscribers, the cost is slightly higher, up to 49 cents per kWh.

This is not the first V4 supercharger station

Indeed, the Netherlands has surpassed France in this area. Since March, a Dutch station has already been equipped with the American manufacturer’s V4 superchargers. It is located in the city of Harderwijk.
