Emmanuel Macron’s goal was to offer leasing at 100 euros per month for an electric vehicle for the most modest households. An offer that is taking longer to materialize.

While the Chinese manufacturer MG offers its new MG 4 at 99 euros per month, and Fiat with its Fiat 500, Le Figaro reports that two vehicles are part of the offer which will be available soon. These include the Renault Twingo E-Tech, as well as the Citroën e-C3.

Offers under 100 euros per month

Some manufacturers did not wait to start offering deals on certain vehicles, notably one of the two models mentioned by our colleagues at Capital. So, the Chinese manufacturer’s MG 4 is offered at 99 euros per month, as well as the Fiat 500, also at 99 euros per month. Not only that, but the Renault Twingo E-Tech is offered at 100 euros per month, with an initial deposit of 1,500 euros. The lease lasts 37 months.

An offer at 100 euros per month, for a vehicle not yet on sale

The second vehicle mentioned by Capital, which could therefore be part of the 100 euros per month offer, is the new Citroën C3 electric. However, the model is not yet available for sale and is expected in early 2024. As announced in a Stellantis press release this week, the vehicle is expected to be priced below 25,000 euros, excluding ecological bonus. The amount of 5,000 euros could be deducted.

Later, we may see other models follow suit, including the Renault 5 electric, as well as the Peugeot e-208.
