Unveiled for the first time today at IAA Mobility without camouflage, the Mustang Mach-E Rally joins the Ford family.
Such a vehicle had every chance of remaining a stylistic exercise born from the creative mind of an amateur rally enthusiast designer. Ford didn’t hold back and presents the very first electric vehicle of the brand inspired by rallying. A great initiative that will reconcile fans of the oval-brand, outraged by the electric transition of their icon, with the new-generation Mustang.
This machine features a tuned version of the Mustang Mach-E GT powertrain, with two motors delivering 880 Nm of torque and 358 kW of power. To power this beautiful mechanical setup, the Mustang Mach-E Rally is equipped with a 91 kWh lithium-ion battery.
The beast is built on a raised suspension, 20 millimeters higher than the Mustang Mach-E GT, and equipped with MagneRide shock absorbers and 385-millimeter front brake discs with Brembo calipers. The stunning 19-inch rally-style alloy wheels evoke Ford’s glorious moments in the World Championship and are fitted with Michelin CrossClimate2 235/55 R19 tires.
A new driving mode called RallySport adjusts the vehicle’s behavior to the precarious grip of dirt roads and snowy hairpins, allowing for impressive slides while maintaining safe handling. The goal isn’t to drive recklessly but to enjoy oneself in all circumstances.
Finally, in terms of bodywork, a rear wing inspired by the Focus RS and specific side skirts enhance the competition look of this distinctly atypical vehicle. We love it and want more!
The Mustang Mach-E Rally will be available for order starting early 2024, with deliveries beginning in the first half of the year.
