A Tesla Model 3 for racing!
This page is translated from the original post "Une Tesla Model 3 de compétition !" in French.

A very special Tesla Model 3 will participate in the Swedish Touring Championship reserved for electric cars.
The Tesla, one of three to be used by the Brink Motorsport team next year, is the first fully electric competitor of the STCC to be unveiled. It was developed by the private organization EPWR.

All the new cars in the STCC are built on the basis of the original chassis of each model, then modified for racing by EPWR. In addition to the Tesla Model 3, BMW i4, CUPRA Born, and Volkswagen ID.3 are also expected on the grid for the inaugural season of this championship, whose launch has been delayed by a year. The switch to electric energy has caused a number of unforeseen delays in the supply chain, leading to the decision to postpone the first races.
An Eco-Friendly Competition Tesla
Designed by the company EPWR, this Tesla Model 3 is, of course, 100% electric. It delivers 550 horsepower transmitted to the ground solely through the rear wheels and will be exclusively powered by renewable energy throughout the 2024 STCC season via the ZenergiZe energy storage system from Atlas Copco.

The cars are covered with a body made of raw natural composite, a high-performance natural fiber used notably in Formula 1, offering the same level of durability as carbon fiber but with a significantly reduced environmental impact.
The 2024 STCC calendar will be announced later, with only the urban races in Helsingborg and Gothenburg scheduled so far, pending the addition of rounds on traditional circuits.
This initiative is in no way officially supported by the brand. Tesla, in fact, has sworn that it has no ambitions in racing, but this project will very likely be followed with great interest.
