Peugeot at the GP Explorer 2 with Vilebrequin

Peugeot will be heavily present at the second edition of the GP Explorer, which will take place on Saturday, September 9th at Le Mans.

Partner of the Vilebrequin duo consisting of Pierre Chabrier and the 2022 winner Sylvain Lévy, Peugeot will offer numerous activities within the village set up in the heart of the Bugatti Circuit at Le Mans.

Engaged this season in the WEC championship with the innovative 9X8, the brand is more than ever eager to share its passion for racing with the widest possible audience. The exposure provided by the GP Explorer, an annual race featuring content creators driving Formula 4 cars, could only attract the Lion brand. For its first edition, the GP Explorer organized by Squeezie achieved exceptional success last year with over 40,000 spectators and 110 million social media interactions. The GP Explorer introduced motorsport to a new, younger audience (98% under 35) and a more female one (46%). Demonstrating the event’s popular success, 60,000 Squeezie fans and followers are expected tomorrow at Le Mans.

Peugeot will welcome the public to a fan zone located at the heart of the Bugatti Circuit, with many activities open to everyone free of charge.

• An exhibition dedicated to Peugeot’s involvement in global motorsport.
• A virtual reality immersion into the Peugeot 9X8 competing in WEC.
• A 6-hour virtual endurance race driving the Peugeot 9X8 on the legendary Le Mans circuit. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the public can take turns on sophisticated simulators to participate in this unique event.
• A meet-and-greet with Malthe Jakobsen, the official junior driver for the Peugeot TotalEnergies team in WEC. At 19 years old, Malthe is a rising star and a talented figure in motorsport E-sports. He will start the virtual race and be present on-site during the 6-hour event.
• An engaging presentation of the all-electric version of the new Peugeot E-208, offering 400 km of range (WLTP mixed cycle), powered by a 115 kW/156 hp motor combined with a 51 kWh battery.
