As for this offer, it is by no means a revolution or a crazy stunt by the Lion brand since in April, Peugeot already offered it at €150 per month with conditions. The average usage of French drivers in this segment is 1,000 km annually according to government statistics. 500 km is 17 km per day, just home-school-work and nothing more. Forget weekends in the countryside with friends or shopping sprees.

More subsidies, more incentives, still more benefits

Furthermore, the offer takes into account the Ecological Bonus of €5,000 to which the car is eligible, which is quite normal, but also the Additional Bonus of €2,000 subject to income. More seriously, the price includes the conversion bonus, which is a real hurdle! If you have no vehicle to scrap in exchange, you can skip this offer. If you meet all the criteria, congratulations, but you will still need to pay a down payment of €2,000, or €56 per month if spread over the rental duration.

In conclusion, Peugeot indeed offers a quality vehicle at €130 per month, but the numerous conditions prevent us from endorsing this rate. Taking into account the down payment and excluding the conversion bonus, the price rises to €230, which is standard for vehicles in this range. Too bad, the miracle is just another marketing illusion.
