BMW innovates with Fortnite

We thought we had seen everything in terms of car presentations, but BMW takes a new step by teasing its new iX2 in the game Fortnite.

Want to discover the new BMW iX2 before its official unveiling next week? Nothing simpler, get typing! The manufacturer has created a virtual futuristic city with the island “Hypnopolis,” which can be explored by Fortnite gamers. In a scenario centered around the new iX2, it offers various challenges to players. The notable BMW architectural monuments are integrated into this meticulously designed virtual world, featuring skyscrapers, floating bridges, and green spaces with the company’s headquarters known as “Four Cylinders,” BMW Welt, at its heart. Beyond this educational journey, BMW promises numerous Easter Eggs that will delight players.

The highlight of the visit to “Hypnopolis” is the car creator, located under the double cone in BMW Welt, which is unlocked by completing various challenges. The gamified ability to design a vehicle is a first in Fortnite, making the propeller manufacturer nothing less than a pioneer. The game allows players to design their own iX2 based on their individual preferences. The BMW iX2 initially appears as a disguised prototype in the Car Creator. Players can choose from a limited palette of paints or wheels. After the real-world unveiling of the car on October 11, 2023, additional options from the BMW iX2 catalog will be available in the Car Creator.
