Here is the cheapest new Audi at the moment

Entering the final third of its commercial life, the Audi A1 offers an attractive price-to-performance ratio at €26,190.

€26,190 for the first Audi equipped with a combustion engine, €53,000 for an electric solution. Double the price. From this premise, it is not shameful to continue driving with a petrol engine from the firm’s catalog with four rings.

The downsizing of engine capacity and vehicle size, for greater sobriety, now allows you to own a small Audi whose practicality is not compromised. Evidence of this is the entry-level “brand” model: the charming A1 Sportback (5-door) in its Advanced 25 TFSI finish.

Under the hood, a 1.0-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine producing 95 horsepower and 175 Nm of torque, boasting smooth mechanical operation that is pleasant for everyday use. Certainly, if you’re looking for thrills, it’s not the right choice, but the modest fuel consumption of 5.5 liters / 100 km is welcome. With CO2 emissions of 124 g per kilometer, the ecological penalty is also limited to €75 in 2023. This does not significantly affect the final price.

Exterior

This is the good news of the day! Audi doesn’t hold back and offers a wide range of metallic colors at no extra cost when purchasing. Gray, white, navy blue, dark gray, black, red, and green — all with a contrasting black roof, ensuring a sporty touch. The effect is enhanced by the Advanced bodywork, with more prominent shapes.

The pleasant surprise continues with the very attractive 17-inch alloy wheels with a graphite effect. The dimensions are generous and thus ensure safety: 215/45R17.

Finally, the LED headlight signature is enhanced by LED projectors.

Interior

The sporty seats, combining fabric and faux leather, with very enveloping shapes, are also standard here. The multifunction steering wheel includes some buttons, but unfortunately the other half is locked. The central armrest, floor mats, and height adjustment for the passenger seat are included in the package. For the rest, it’s a barrage of features:

Conclusion

With skill, Audi demonstrates that driving a “budget” car from its catalog does not entail compromises. The price is admittedly a bit higher than a Renault Clio or a Peugeot 208 (about €5,000 more on average), but the residual value, finish, and some equipment are superior in the German model.
