Promo of the day: 26% off on BMW i4 (€17,400)

The BMW i4 boasts impressive range and offers high-end arguments against the Tesla Model 3, especially with such a promotion!

The BMW i4 EDRIVE40 340 we present today derives from the brand’s other electric models, based on a combustion engine model. This sedan therefore takes the platform of the 4 Series Gran Coupe, almost entirely identical. It features a three-box sedan body with a fastback roof fastback. The coupe-like aspect is clear from the frameless doors, but the rest is indeed an alternative five-door to the 3 Series. For us Europeans, it’s more attractive, while the Chinese have a very classic BMW i3. The only differences from the combustion 4 Series are the front bumper, and the replacement of the side black elements with the typical blue “i” accents on the side sills. The rear also features blue air diffuser contours, giving the tail an aggressive look without changing the headlights.

The interior is also taken from the 4 Series, with a small detail. The dashboard is traditional, slightly tilted towards the driver; the seats and the imposing center console create a feeling of being enclosed. Far from the spacious feeling of a Tesla Model 3. Some will enjoy being in this cocoon, although it’s a bit dark, from which a curious double OLED screen rises. This is the huge innovation on the BMW i4, borrowed from the BMW iX. A welcome touch of modernity, which we will revisit below.

Cherry on top, driving with one pedal is a success. With a good balance and the ability to stop without brakes, it really feels like the left pedal is only used for full stops. It’s reassuring in a situation where many electric cars still seem to slide.

For the price of a Tesla Model 3, you can drive a fully equipped BMW i4. This black Spahirschwarz model, enhanced with blue “i” accents, is arguably one of the most elegant in our opinion.

Its listed price on the website is 66,340 euros. With a 26% discount, or exactly 17,440 euros, the price drops to 48,900 euros. Although the car qualifies for the ecological bonus, it cannot claim it due to its price being slightly above the 47,000-euro limit. This is surprising, and it’s worth discussing this point with the dealer in Ivry, Île-de-France. A small effort on their part could probably make it possible.
