The Hyundai Santa Fe makes its revolution

Just behind the third row of seats, with futuristic lines and innovations in the cabin, Hyundai’s large SUV is being redesigned to last even longer.

This fifth generation of Santa Fe primarily emphasizes spaciousness inside thanks to an extended wheelbase and a very wide rear hatch opening. With its longer wheelbase, this new model can also accommodate for the very first time a third row of seats.

The cubical profile follows a trend recently adopted by manufacturers with models such as the Volvo EX30 or the Korean cousins KIA EV3, EV5, and EV9. An exterior design that aims to convey reassurance regarding the vehicle’s solidity and reliability, and is designed to suit both urban living and outdoor adventures. This feeling is reinforced by prominent fenders, imposing wheel arches, a short front overhang, and robust 21-inch wheels. It leans more towards masculinity than poetry.

This new-generation Santa Fe offers a palette of 10 exterior colors: Abyss Black Pearl, Creamy White Pearl, Creamy White Matte, Typhoon Silver Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Ocado Green Pearl, Terracotta Orange, Cyber Sphere Pearl, Earthy Brass Metallic Matte, and Pebble Blue Pearl. For the interior, options are also rich with five interior colors, including Obsidian Black, Supersonic Gray, Pecan Brown, Forest Green, and Black Ink.

The interior will delight tech enthusiasts with features such as Relaxation seats with footrest, a multifunctional sterilizing tablet with UV-C, and a double induction charger for smartphones. It also includes a curved panoramic display combining the 12.3-inch instrument cluster and infotainment system. With second and third-row seats folded down, it offers a true living space for passengers, with a headroom of 958 mm.

For Europe, two powertrain choices are available: a 1.6-liter turbo hybrid (Gamma III 1.6T GDI HEV with 6-speed automatic transmission), and a plug-in hybrid turbo petrol with a 1.6-liter engine (Gamma III 1.6T GDI PHEV with 6-speed automatic transmission), delivering a maximum power of 160 hp and a peak torque of 265 Nm.
