Renault launches a €99/month leasing option on its used Zoés

Renault has found a solution to offer a Long-Term Rental deal for 99 €/month as President Macron desired: with a used car.

As electric cars become more and more like rolling iPhones, refurbishing is an excellent idea to extend their lifespan. Moreover, the automotive industry imposes durability and reliability standards far beyond those of telephony. Also, a car, even electric, now easily lasts around 200,000 kilometers if properly maintained.

Based on this premise, Renault rightly believes that a recent used car is not outdated. And even more so when it has been serviced at Renew, which refurbishes vehicles to give them a nearly perfect presentation.

This smart trick also helps lower prices and launch leasing offers on used cars. The idea benefits both purchasing power and the planet. Because a car with 25 or 30,000 kilometers isn’t destined for scrapping, contrary to what our ‘newness’ society might suggest.

Renault’s offer for a reconditioned Zoe at 99 euros per month, however, comes with some conditions.

• The first rent of 5484 euros is reduced to 1984 euros after deducting 1000 euros eco-bonus for used cars and 2500 euros for the conversion premium, which requires parting with an old vehicle.

At 99 euros/month, the battery is included in the lease as follows: 89 euros for the chassis + 10 euros for the battery per month.

At this rate, Renault commits to delivering a Zoe equipped with the 52 kWh battery. The range will therefore be impressive, close to 400 kilometers. In this regard, the Diamond (Renault) outperforms a Dacia Spring, which is cheaper but significantly less comfortable and with a shorter range.

The 3-year contract limits mileage to 10,000 km/year, totaling 30,000 km. But for daily commuting, this is often more than sufficient.
