Abarth has made the switch to electric with its New Abarth 500e. Still eligible for the Eco Bonus, is it worthy of the scorpion?

The most spirited of small city cars has made a strong comeback with three new electric versions, “New Abarth 500e, Pack and Turismo”. Equipped with a 155 hp electric motor (compared to 118 hp on the Fiat 500e) and a 42 kW battery, the small city car has naturally become more restrained by stopping smoking, but remains quite lively so as not to get bored.

The new versions complement the “Scorpionissima” variant released last year and sold within a few weeks. However, be aware that the new Abarth 500e will be available in two body styles: sedan and cabriolet. Note that the sedan will offer all three versions, while the cabriolet will only be available in “Pack” and “Turismo”.

The New Abarth 500e, following the innovations of the limited edition Scorpionissima, features a front design that emphasizes the vehicle’s sportiness. A new ABARTH logo in dark gray lettering is placed for easy reading and identification. The iconic brand logo, a scorpion on a red and yellow background, is now located on the car’s hood. The New Abarth 500e distinguishes itself from its thermal version with its new front bumper, which is more aerodynamic and more aggressive according to the brand.

The Turismo version, the top-of-the-line of this New Abarth 500e, is upholstered in Alcantara and can include an exhaust sound generator. This, the result of over 6,000 hours of work, produces the distinctive noise of Abarth cars electronically. It enhances the engine’s performance sound without emissions of greenhouse gases.

Abarth 500e proudly displays its difference with five colors bearing distinctive names: Acid Green, Poison Blue, Antidote White, Venom Black, and Adrenaline Red. Note that the Acid Green color is the free shade of the range.

The small Italian car does not deny its lineage with prices still quite high… Starting at €36,900 for the sedan version and €42,300 for the cabriolet (Pack version). Produced in Europe, it remains fortunately eligible for the ecological bonus and the trade-in bonus.
