Mitsubishi’s “Clio” drops to 16,390 euros!

Mitsubishi, the Renault Clio rebadged at the Japanese manufacturer cuts an additional 500 euros off its price.

The Renault Clio was the best-selling car in France in 2023. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same for the Mitsubishi Colt, its Japanese derivative. Conversely, one could also say that this competition does not cannibalize the sales of the diamond brand. This is worth noting.

There is a reason for this: positioning. Certainly less media-focused, the Mitsubishi Colt is also less technologically sophisticated, and therefore more affordable as well.

Proof of this is the entry-level version, in Invite finish, offered in January 2024 starting at 16,390 euros. The price breakdown is as follows: 18,390 euros retail price – 1,500 euros customer benefit – 500 euros trade-in assistance.

In reality, there is no trade-in assistance. Any customer can benefit from this very advantageous price, whether or not they have an old car to trade in. For dealers, it is the same, and they do not hesitate to display this price of 16,390 euros directly.

In practice, with emissions of 118 g of CO2/km, the Mitsubishi Colt Invite will cost 16,440 euros once the 2024 ecological bonus of 50 euros is included.

For this price, one can be satisfied with the reliable 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine producing 67 horsepower and the Arctic White color. The equipment, below, is nonetheless very comprehensive for this entry-level price.
