The Mercedes G-Class spins on itself

Mercedes took over the Las Vegas Strip for an evening to showcase a feature of its electric G-Class.

Mercedes will unveil its all-new electric G-Class this year. A real challenge to replace a vehicle that had nothing going for it but achieved a sensational career. Remember, the G-Class originally shares its technical platform with the Peugeot P4, an iconic military off-road vehicle!

The G-Class has thus managed to step off muddy trails to invade upscale neighborhoods in Hollywood or the most prestigious garages in the Middle East. Between 6-wheeled versions and Brabus or AMG upgrades, this large 4×4 has had a thousand lives!

Excess in Mercedes Style

Mercedes claims that the electric version will surpass the current version in both comfort and performance. Comfort shouldn’t be too difficult since the G is quite stiff with its solid axles. For power, the star brand announces no less than 700 hp thanks to four electric motors, one per wheel.

And it is precisely this independent wheel motor configuration that allows the electric G-Class to achieve a very impressive technical feat.
