Audi RS6 GT, an Extreme Farewell Version (Video)

The ultra-sporty break from Audi features an ultimate unleashed limited edition RS6 GT, produced in 660 units and priced at 290,000 euros in France.

Hood, large carbon wings, 22-inch wheels, Audi Sport stickerings from the 1980s on the 90 quattro IMSA GTO—everything comes together to make this RS6 GT a unique car.

Under its family vehicle exterior, the RS6 hides an unexpected character of power and performance. Behind the hood, there’s a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 630 horsepower (+30 hp compared to the standard version) and 850 Nm of torque (+50 Nm). You’ll need to secure the kids and stash the luggage in the back…

Aesthetically, it looks the same but is completely different. Front, rear, sides—everything is new. The most beautiful detail is probably the design of the front carbon wings, which include an air channelling duct. Same for the hood, also entirely in carbon!

5 Colors to Choose From

Few Audi RS6 GTs will be seen on the streets, as production is limited to 660 units worldwide. Additionally, five colors will be available to customers: Arkona White, Nardo Gray, Chronos Metallic Gray, Madeira Brown Metallic, and Mythos Black Metallic.

Depending on the chosen color, the stickerings will differ to highlight the contrasts.

Crazy Performance

Always save the best for last: performance. The Audi RS6 GT lives up to its promises. 0 to 100 km/h is dispatched in 3.3 seconds (-0.3 seconds compared to the standard RS6), and 0 to 200 km/h in 10.5 seconds (-1.5 seconds). Top speed is limited to 305 km/h. All this energy passes through an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and a central differential that distributes power between the axles at a nominal 40/60% front-rear and up to 25-75% (in both directions) depending on traction issues.

To better handle the road, the suspension has been stiffened, and the anti-roll bars are +30% and +80% stiffer at the front and rear. Comfort promises to be fierce, but you can’t have everything; you must accept it. Regarding tires, they are 285/30 ZR 22. Grip will certainly be there.

Almost 300,000 Euros

In France, the Audi RS6 GT will be available starting at 230,000 euros before options, to which the 60,000 euro eco-tax (malus écologique) must be added. So, a final price of 290,000 euros. For reference, the Audi RS6 Performance, already quite impressive in sensation, is offered at 148,000 euros before tax. Happiness, they say, has no price.
