The Porsche Taycan reveals its new look and range

On sale since 2019, the Porsche Taycan is experiencing its first truly significant update, changing its bodywork and performance.

This is the big news everyone has been waiting for: the increased range of the new Porsche Taycan. In this area, progress is always spectacular, and the German manufacturer confirms it. Now, the range of the Taycan is up to 678 km on the European WLTP cycle. An increase of 35% compared to the first generation introduced in 2019, which has already sold 150,000 units.

All body variants are affected by these updates, including the sedan, the Sport Turismo wagon, and the Cross Turismo adventurer. This is first evident in a subtly altered look, but also through more aerodynamic body components. The front bumper has been redesigned, as well as the side skirts and the rear diffuser, to reduce drag, which is very energy-consuming.

The same applies to the wagon versions, with more pronounced front air intakes and a rear bumper incorporating new air vents. The overall look is more sporty and pleasing to the eye.

An incredible charging power

Range is also improved by faster charging. The new Porsche Taycan can now accept up to 320 kW of power, an increase of 50 kW compared to the previous generation. By way of comparison, charging from 10% to 80% used to take 37 minutes for a standard Taycan, but now it will be just 18 minutes… all while gaining an additional 175 km of range when fully charged to 100%.

The regenerative braking system has also seen major improvements to enhance range. It now recovers up to 30% more energy, reaching up to 400 kW depending on the version (all-wheel drive models). All variants also feature new 21-inch wheels fitted with low rolling resistance tires.

An absolutely crazy Turbo S version

With its 105 kWh battery (up from 93 kWh previously), the new Turbo S version unleashes even more power. Its output jumps to 952 horsepower (700 kW), an increase of 190 hp (140 kW). 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in just 2.4 seconds, compared to the standard Taycan’s impressive 4.8 seconds thanks to a boost of 108 hp (80 kW). Twice as quick, then!

A higher level of equipment and prices

Now standard on all models, all Taycan versions come equipped with adaptive air suspension, ambient lighting, parking assistance with sensors and camera, heated front seats, heat pump, and Power Steering Plus. The prices follow a similar trend of rising:
