Zagato pays tribute to the Alpine A220
Zagato was entrusted with bringing a modern reinterpretation of the Alpine A220 to life, and of course, they took on the challenge.
The initiative is credited to La Squadra. Founded by Jakub Pietrzak in 2013, it distributes renowned brands such as Ferrari, Pagani, Koenigsegg, Bugatti, and Alpine from its headquarters in Katowice, Poland.

Even though it’s not a complete failure, the sporting record of the A220 has never lived up to its star-like appearance. Powered by a formidable V8 Gordini, the A220 failed its ambitious goal of winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the late 1960s but shone in open-road competitions with a bodywork cut down by 30 centimeters. Because the real attraction of the A220 was this interminable, elegant aerodynamic tail.

The AGTZ Twin Tail is a decidedly modern car whose sole purpose is to continue the story of the A220 in a very theatrical style. Zagato has dressed a Berlinette A110 in a new spectacular look for this purpose.

Limited to only 19 truly special cars, production has already begun, and the order book is filling up quickly. To satisfy all preferences, the car is offered in both long tail and short tail versions thanks to a removable rear section. You can even order it in a tribute livery to its historic sporty color scheme!
Whether you love or dislike this style, be aware that if you want one, you will have to spend… 650,000 euros!
