Alfa Romeo Under the Sign of 33

Alfa Romeo launches the “33 Stradale Day” and sets a unique date for commemorations of its sporting heritage, on March 3.

Alfa Romeo might be playing a bit of Star Wars with us? If you’re a fan of Star Wars, May 4th is marked in red on your calendars. In English, 4 May is called May the Fourth and immediately recalls the famous “May the Force be with You.” Fans of the cloverleaf brand can now celebrate their favorite manufacturer on March 3rd, or 3/3, or even 33, but why this date?

33 is like a leitmotif for the brand. More than just a coincidence, the number 33 appears in Alfa Romeo’s commercial results for 2023. Worldwide, the brand has increased by 33% compared to 2022. A unique coincidence, almost an invitation to celebrate the renewal of the icon from the 1960s.

When 33 Rimes with Alfa

But that’s not all. Going back in time, the number 33 takes on an additional symbolic and commemorative significance.

In June 2021, 33 months ago, the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Super Sport from 1929 won the historical reconstruction of the 1000 Miglia, a legendary race that Enzo Ferrari himself called “the most beautiful car race in the world.”

Let’s go a bit further back in history: 1933 was a year of prosperity for Alfa Romeo. It was the year when the brand with the Biscione dominated sports competitions. The famous duo Nuvolari-Compagnoni won the Mille Miglia driving the highly performant 8C 2300. In the same car, Antonio Brivio won the Targa Florio, the oldest endurance race in the world, held in Sicily. Finally, still aboard this glorious race car, the duo Nuvolari-Sommer won the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Alfa Romeo has therefore decided that 33 will now be a magical number for Alfa Romeo and its Tribe, which it invites to celebrate every year on March 3rd for “33 Stradale Day.” And what better way to illustrate the brand’s future than this famous 33 Stradale, a two-seater coupé built in only 33 exclusive units for 33 fans of the brand. Alfa Romeo Centro Stile is releasing new exclusive images of this sports car in a Blu Reale (Royal Blue) livery, already available on the 1967 33 model. It is one of three body colors offered, alongside the classic Rosso Alfa and the more sophisticated Rosso Villa d’Este.
