Eco-activist sabotage at Tesla’s Berlin factory!

Tesla had to suspend the activity of its Berlin Gigafactory following an act of sabotage that caused a blackout.

Things are tough for Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory, the company’s only plant in Europe. After local residents refused to approve the infrastructure extension, and supply chain issues related to the Red Sea conflict, the site faces an act of sabotage that has led to a complete halt in production.

A German far-left extremist group called « Vulkan Gruppe », claimed responsibility for the sabotage a few minutes ago. An arson attack on a high-voltage electric pole near the production site caused a widespread power outage affecting some districts of Berlin as well. Tesla had to immediately stop production at its German plant in Grünheide, on the outskirts of Berlin.

“With this sabotage, we aim to carry out a total blackout of the gigafactory,” declared Vulkan Gruppe in a statement released on the Indymedia platform, a preferred communication channel for far-left activists.

Tesla Fuels Hatred

Tesla has been the target of environmental activists for several days, who have called for measures against the company. Last week, self-proclaimed « Treehugers »—or tree huggers—set up a camp in the forest outside the factory to try to block its expansion. Despite its somewhat humorous name, the group is known for its aggressive interventions and often operates completely outside the law.

Tesla stated that all measures had been taken to secure the production facilities, but after consulting with the electricity provider EDIS, the company does not expect a quick restart of operations.
