The Audi Q4 with a 550-euro monthly bonus struggles to sell

The special series Audi Q4 e-tron Design Edition eligible for the eco bonus is still available for order.

Audi had announced limiting its Q4 e-tron Design Edition, a special series eligible for the 2024 eco bonus, to 700 units. Almost three months later, it seems that the four-ring brand still has some units in stock…

This special series is nonetheless very interesting and offers a comprehensive package with features usually reserved for high-end models such as navigation, electric tailgate, heated front seats, virtual cockpit, and 19-inch rims.

Moreover, far from being a quick-liquidation garage find, this limited series benefits from technical improvements and equipment upgrades announced in September 2023 for the Audi Q4 e-tron: an optimized range of up to 533 kilometers on the SUV version, improved suspension, increased efficiency, and a power now reaching 285 horsepower on this rear-wheel-drive version.

Ultimately, being eligible for the eco bonus provides a small price boost but does not guarantee a model’s success. With a monthly lease starting at 550 euros after a 1,500 euro deposit, bonus included, this new Design Edition series of the Audi Q4 e-tron competes with new market entrants such as the Renault Scenic E-Tech or the Peugeot E-3008. Faced with more modern and better-equipped vehicles, the rings alone are not enough to ensure success. However, it would be surprising if the remaining units do not find buyers.
