Skoda Teases Its Electric SUV Elroq

Skoda will broaden its electric vehicle lineup with the Elroq. Unsurprisingly, it’s an SUV whose look we are just beginning to discover.

Skoda has released the first official image of the all-new Elroq. Well, an image… let’s say the first glimpse of this model’s lighting signature. The fully electric compact SUV is the manufacturer’s first model to adopt the new “Modern Solid” design. The guiding principle is a minimalist exterior combining robustness, functionality, and of course, safety, according to the brand. The world premiere of the Elroq is scheduled for fall 2024 and will mark the beginning of Skoda’s electric offensive, which has announced the launch of 6 fully electric models in the coming years.

A first look to start

The front of the Elroq is characterized by its two-part headlights. The upper, more slender part, extends into the fenders. The Skoda lettering, the new logo of the manufacturer, is now clearly visible on the hood. The “Tech-Deck Face” front end is a modern and recognizable reinterpretation of the traditional Czech grille, with a flatter and wider appearance. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with large wheels that enhance its robust look, and new-generation LED matrix headlights.

The Elroq will be the third Skoda model based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular platform, after the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé. At the same time, this new 100% electric compact SUV will be the first of six new electric models announced by Skoda for the coming years. Its official debut is planned for fall 2024.
