Rimac Nevera Europa-Park Tesla

Not sure what to do this summer? Head over to Europa-Park for an adrenaline-filled break inspired by Rimac.

When the Europa-Park amusement park, located at the Franco-German border, began to consider its new « Croatia » zone, it thought that the 100% electric hypercar Rimac Nevera would be a great source of inspiration for its new roller coasters. Thus was born the Voltron Nevera Powered by Rimac, an exhilarating ride through Croatian landscapes dedicated to the legacy of one of Rimac’s greatest sources of inspiration, his compatriot Nikola Tesla. Tasty, isn’t it?

Just like the Rimac Nevera hypercar, the roller coaster is breaking world records, notably with a launch angle of 105 degrees. It also features four catapult-style acceleration phases up to 90 km/h, including a backward launch, offering riders seven inverted phases with 2.2 seconds of continuous weightlessness!

Does Rimac pay tribute to Tesla?

Over a total development length of 1,385 meters, « Voltron Nevera » traverses a typically Croatian landscape rebuilt using genuine local limestone and an 800-year-old olive tree. The historic town of Hvar, in the Adriatic, inspired this backdrop that pays homage to inventor Nikola Tesla. The « Voltron » draws inspiration from his work by recreating the conditions for the movement of pure energy between the two prominent Voltron towers of the attraction. Rimac contributed to the development of this spectacular ride by providing technology that enables powerful boosts in the form of short bursts, mimicking electrical impulses.

In addition to « Voltron Nevera », the Croatian-themed area of Europa-Park features « Sunce i Lavanda », an ice cream shop offering a variety of flavors. The « Suveniri Nikola » shop offers souvenirs themed around Croatia as well as other park-related products, while the snack spot Ćevapčići serves regional specialties.
