The TV Schedule for the 2024 Canadian F1 Grand Prix

Discover the schedule for the Canadian Grand Prix (June 7-9), the ninth race of the 2024 Formula 1 season.

Formula 1 leaves Europe for a week, heading to North America for the Canadian Grand Prix, the ninth race of the 2024 season. Montreal hosts the 53rd Canadian GP this year, the 43rd at the Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit on Notre-Dame Island since its introduction to the calendar in 1978. There has been almost continuous participation since then, except during the 1987, 2009 and 2020-2021 seasons (due to the Covid-19 pandemic).

The Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit is one of the shortest on the calendar (measuring only 4.361 kilometers), featuring technical and tricky turns, similar to the last chicane and the famous Wall of Champions at the exit. On this fast track, there will be three DRS zones, but only two detection points. A driver with DRS in the second DRS zone (at the exit of the hairpin) will also retain it in the third zone (main straight).

Among the current drivers on the grid, four have already won in Canada: Lewis Hamilton seven times (2007, 2010, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019), Max Verstappen (2022, 2023), Fernando Alonso (2006), and Daniel Ricciardo (2014). The current fastest lap record in the race is held by Valtteri Bottas at 1’13″078.
