The Fiat Panda has an heir

Fiat unveils the first images of the new Grande Panda, the latest addition to a family born in the 1980s.

If the Fiat Grande Punto had little in common with the Punto, the same cannot be said for this Grande Panda. Designed in Italy, at the Centro Stile in Turin, it measures just 3.99 meters long but offers well-optimized space due to its compact volume. The recipe that made the original Panda successful with its intelligent use of space and distinct personality.

This compact family vehicle is offered with a vibrant color palette, one of which will be the yellow shown in these early visuals. The front grille features a distinctive LED signature and the presence of a protection plate at the lower part emphasizes its versatility as a multipurpose vehicle.

Tribute to the original Panda

Of course, it is from the side that the silhouette of the Fiat Grande Panda resembles that of the 80s Panda. In homage to the mountain icon, the Panda 4×4, the letters “Panda” are directly embossed in three dimensions on the bodywork at the lower part of the doors.

The Fiat lettering is directly integrated in three-dimensional form into the bodywork at the tailgate. This originality is again a tribute to the design of the original Panda from the 80s. Finally, to capitalize on the 80s theme combined with a futuristic style, the 17-inch alloy wheels feature an X-shaped design.

The Grande Panda will initially be launched in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and will be available in electric and hybrid versions. It will be followed by the launch of a new vehicle by Fiat each year until 2027. The innovative project of the manufacturer is to produce vehicles on the same global and multi-energy STLA Smart platform from Stellantis, adapted to all regions of the world, thus allowing the brand to more easily design many different vehicles.
