The new Bentley Continental GT hybrid in photos

This Tuesday, June 25, 2024, is a significant day for Bentley as it unveils its first hybrid-powered car.

With a power output of 782 hp and a torque of 1000 Nm, the Continental GT becomes the most powerful production Bentley in the 105-year history of the British firm. However, it’s important to keep up with the times, and the W12 engine that made the legend of the second-generation GT makes way for a hybrid system offering an electric range of 80 km and a CO2 emission rate of less than 50 g/km according to the WLTP standard. This last figure might be the most important to note from the car’s specifications as it allows it to avoid any penalties!

However, it is out of the question to limit ourselves to this single technological advancement, no matter how significant it may be. We are presented with a jewel of technology built on a state-of-the-art platform featuring active all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, four-wheel steering, an electronic limited-slip differential, active 48V roll stabilization, and new double-valve shock absorbers. According to the manufacturer, this Bentley can proudly be labeled as a true “everyday supercar.” A new design and a fresh set of technologies complete the latest generation of this vehicle, allowing Bentley to smoothly transition into a new modern era in both Coupe and Convertible versions.
