With their pink dress, they certainly haven’t escaped your notice if you follow the Tour de France. Cadillac is making its Tour!

Cadillac is determined to make a grand return to France, and what better way to promote its 100% electric technology than through the largest cycling race in the world. And if you’re going to do it, you might as well stand out with a pink dress that will remind nostalgia enthusiasts of the brand’s most beautiful models from the 1950s and 1960s. The new Cadillac LYRIQ becomes the first electric vehicle to serve as a support car for the EF Education-EasyPost team. Built on General Motors’ latest generation Ultium platform, it boasts a range of 530 km on a full charge, which is more than enough to cover a good stage of the Tour.

The cars will follow the peloton during each stage of the three-week race. 3,492 km across Italy and France to prove that the car’s extended range, thanks to its 102 kWh battery, and its fast charging capabilities can carry it all the way to the finish in Nice on July 21. Exceptionally, the event does not end in Paris this year due to the Olympic Games. The LYRIQs have been specially adapted to carry the essential equipment of the team, from communication means to water bottles and racing gear, including no less than eight bicycles on the roof! This should inspire cycling enthusiasts who are still hesitant about equipping themselves with a high-end sporty electric car for their vacations.

One thing is certain, the beautiful Americans will turn heads throughout the course without fogging the minds of our dear little blond heads present at the roadside. A pleasant way to highlight Cadillac’s commitment to a carbon-free world.
