TOLV offers a Retrofit Master’s program at VINCI Autoroutes

VINCI Autoroutes continues the decarbonization of its fleet by adopting a retrofitted vehicle in its range.

This initiative by VINCI Autoroutes, aside from a nice communication boost, showcases what the future of converting the current thermal utility fleet to electric power could look like. We recently presented the Rétrofit service offered by TOLV for the Renault Master and it seemed obvious to us that this solution was not intended for artisans and professionals. We were thinking more about companies committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It seems we were right.

A commitment from VINCI

VINCI Autoroutes has already decarbonized 68% of its light vehicle fleet and 9% of its patrol and intervention vans. In the midst of the hundreds of electric vehicles that make up the service company’s fleet, this retrofitted Renault Master should have no trouble finding its place. This diesel van, an old patrol vehicle from VINCI Autoroutes, has been completely renovated and converted to electric by the teams from TOLV Systems. As it is not intended to cover long distances, the Rétrofit solution is viable and allows for some savings. Therefore, this should not be an isolated initiative.

The performance of this utility vehicle will primarily be meticulously studied by the Research and Development teams at TOLV to determine how to optimize the conversion process and improve the performance and reliability of retrofitted vehicles. Nothing like a good real-world application to advance a new concept.
