The Heir of the Méhari and Mini Moke Enjoys the Summer

Desired by Fiat as a beach variant of the Topolino, the Dolce Vita is making its debut this summer.

Launched at the end of 2023, the Fiat Topolino Dolce Vita has not really benefited from this poorly timed schedule far from summer. But it corresponded with the launch of the base Topolino. A car with a convertible roof and especially without doors has absolutely no chance of selling when it’s cold or raining. However, the sun has chased away the rain, and the little Italian can start its career.

From Saint Tropez to Knokke le Zoute, it’s hard not to spot at least one. An essential accessory for a second home by the sea, it is the chic yet affordable asset that many have been waiting for. A little extra that is priced under 10,000 euros outright, specifically 9,890 euros, and drops to 59 euros for long-term rental over 36 months. It remains expensive for a strictly two-seater, but much cheaper and far more reliable than a Méhari or a Mini Moke. And we’re not even talking about the Rétrofit versions, whose prices reach totally indecent levels for a piece of bodywork on four wheels.

The Topolino Dolce Vita does not aspire to become a fashion icon, although some small customization options can give it a certain charm like the wicker picnic baskets. It is simply perfect for allowing children to go to the beach safely during the day and meet friends for drinks in the evening by the harbor. You can even access many areas that are off-limits to conventional combustion engine cars, and if that isn’t a luxury!
