Peugeot x Dab Create a Collection of Sporty Electric Motorcycles

DAB Motors, now supported by Peugeot Motocycles, unveils a series of five customized electric motorcycles under the theme of sport.

The “renaissance” of Peugeot Motocycles is well underway. It will take several years for customer perceptions to completely renew, but the momentum has begun. Another demonstration of this reinvention is the takeover of the French firm DAB Motors, founded in 2018 by builder Simon Dabadie and based near Bayonne.

This effort revolves around the creation of an electric motorcycle, the DAB 1a, accessible with a standard car license B (> 2 years) and a 7-hour training. With a 7.1 kWh battery and a power of 36 horsepower, the DAB can reach speeds of 130 km/h and travel up to 150 km. Its light weight of 125 kg and torque of 395 Nm make it a spirited machine.

Two final pieces of information: production will be limited to 400 units (before another creation…) and prices start at 14,900 euros. In France, the ecological bonus is 900 euros…

In Glory of Sport

During this Olympic period, Peugeot Motocycles and DAB Motors thus present a collection named “In Glory of Sport” that highlights the sporting spirit. The DAB Custom Studio, the division dedicated to custom projects for DAB Motors’ clients, has designed these five unique motorcycles. Each bike, inspired by specific sports disciplines, fuses the brand’s DNA with cultural references and rich iconography, going beyond traditional inspirations like aerospace, art, BMX culture, and retro video games.

• Surf (Blue)
• This model embodies the freedom and adventurous spirit of surfing. Equipped with a surfboard rack and a DAB surfboard, this ocean blue motorcycle is perfect for the coastal scenes of Biarritz, the birthplace of the brand.
• Basketball (Yellow)

• This vibrant yellow motorcycle reflects the dynamic energy of basketball courts and the associated urban culture, including nods to street art and hip-hop music.
• Skateboard (Black)

• Designed for thrill-seekers, this black motorcycle features hand-painted graffiti, BMX handlebar foam, and a skateboard rack, reminiscent of the underground skateboard and BMX scene.
• Tennis (Green)

• With a refined aesthetic, this green motorcycle includes a “wicker basket” for tennis balls and picnic accessories, as well as a tartan seat and a racket holder, evoking the elegance of tennis.
• Boxing (Red)

• Symbolizing strength and resilience, this red motorcycle is adorned with golden details reminiscent of championship belts and an iconic tattoo of Mike Tyson, adding a playful touch to the design.
