Tesla at the Paris Auto Show with a big surprise!

6 years after its last participation, Tesla officially confirmed this morning its presence at the next Paris Motor Show.

Given how rare Tesla is at trade shows, this is excellent news. The last official visit dates back to 2018, when the Model 3 was presented there. This first true 100% electric model produced in large series, performing while remaining accessible, paved the way for a new automotive world where the watt is set to dominate the liter of fossil fuel.

In 2024, Tesla returns with a complete presentation of its range and ecosystem, including the Model Y, the best-selling car in the world in 2023 across all powertrains. Visitors will be able to discover all the models and learn a bit more about future developments.

“We are excited to welcome the pioneers of electric vehicles to the Mondial de l’Auto,” said Serge Gachot, director of the Mondial de l’Auto. “Only Tesla was missing! We will bring together all the elements for a great automotive celebration.”

Good news for Tesla fans, the Cybertruck will indeed be present in metal and built even though its commercialization in France is still not on the agenda. If you’ve never come across this 100% electric pickup still reserved for the American market, a little visit is a must. It’s quite different from anything you have seen so far, we assure you. You will either love it or hate it, but there is absolutely no chance it will leave you indifferent.

The big question is, of course, whether the Robotaxi will also be part of the event. This new autonomous mobility proposal from the manufacturer will be presented on October 10 in grand style at Warner Bros’ California film studios, just 4 days before the public opening of the Mondial. The schedule is tight, but it leaves a very small window. We contacted Tesla, which could not confirm its presence… but also did not confirm its absence. More seriously, it is unlikely to be displayed in its operational version, but it would be surprising if there weren’t at least a model, even at a reduced scale. No matter what, we will meet Tesla, that’s for sure.
