The European offensive of Leapmotor begins with a four-door 100% electric compact at a bargain price, the T03.

The Leapmotor T03 is not exactly a new model since we tested it exclusively in October 2022! With a modern retro aesthetic that may or may not appeal, the T03 offers a compact format without sacrificing space. With a length of 3,620 mm, a width of 1,577 mm, a height of 1,652 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,400 mm, it is a true five-door, four-seater urban vehicle. The panoramic roof and two-tone design give it a surprisingly modern look. Additionally, the model is equipped with a front and rear LED lighting system. The exterior mirrors are heated, adjustable electrically, and feature LED turn signals.

The interior of the T03 significantly ages its first rival, the Dacia Spring. With a rear headroom of 960 mm and a front headroom of 950 mm, all passengers are well accommodated on board. The vehicle features an 8-inch LCD dashboard that interacts with a beautiful 10.1-inch central touchscreen. Not bad for an affordable car!

The T03 is equipped with an electric powertrain powered by a 37.3 kWh battery, offering a range of 265 km in the combined WLTP cycle. There are no frills with a small engine providing a maximum power of 70 kW (95 hp) and a maximum torque of 158 Nm. Ideal for the city, perhaps a bit sluggish outside but it doesn’t aim to devour highway kilometers. Finally, the T03 is compatible with Type 2 and CCS2 charging connectors and includes a 6.6 kW onboard charger with a maximum DC charging power of 48 kW. The charging time at home, from 30% to 80%, is approximately 3.5 hours, while using a DC charging station for the same amount only takes 36 minutes.

The essential point remains… The T03 is offered by Leapmotor starting at 19,500 euros, with a launch offer of 18,900 euros. Produced in Europe, the vehicle should soon benefit from the ecological bonus of 4,000 euros, which makes it really interesting! The T03 will also be available for long-term rental, starting at 79 euros.
