Citroën renews its C4 and C4 X with a major update to the front and rear and some interior adjustments.
Citroën is taking advantage of the Paris Motor Show to unveil the new C4 and C4 X, thus completely renewing its sedan offering. They are new in style because the models remain fundamentally unchanged, but the proposal is quite striking and ultimately rather appealing.
Launched at the end of 2020, the C4 continues to navigate its niche as a model with multiple engine options, without managing to compete with the segment’s benchmarks, including the unbeatable Golf. Launched in 2023, the C4 X with Fastback styling has not found its audience in France but is performing well in the Middle East, especially in Turkey. On both models, the front end changes dramatically, incorporating the new logo and brand identity. For the C4, the rear end also evolves to gain in purity, while the C4 X keeps its attributes. The 100 and 115 kW electric offerings are thus joined in the catalog by new Hybrid options of 100 and 136 hp. The 1.2l PureTech 130 EAT8 gasoline engine will also be available in some markets, but certainly not in France, where this engine has a bad reputation, to say the least…
In France, orders for the new C4 and C4 X open with the kickoff of the Paris Motor Show on October 14 for the first deliveries in 2025.
